[ANNOUNCEMENTS]

SQ. 51 FTX

Once again, Squadron 51 has announced the new date for our Basic Emergency Services Field Training Exercise. The dates will be 07 - 08 April 2001. For more information and to review the equipment list, please review the following document.

VAN NUYS AIR EXPO

The 2001 Van Nuys Air Expo will be held June 23-24. This is a fund raiser for the squadron and parent support is needed in the food booth and program sales. Our cadets and seniors will be doing flight line, crowd control and recruiting, as well as selling programs, cold drinks and ice cream. All hours logged by parents, cadets and seniors at this activity translate into more dollars coming back to our squadron.  Please keep your schedules open to assist us in this event.

RECRUITING DRIVE NOW ON

CAWG has 2081 Seniors and 1479 Cadets, down slightly from 1999 numbers. Col. Groshong has pledged a $1000.00 prize each to the squadrons with the most senior and cadet growth within the Wing. Let's set a goal to each bring in 4 new members during this year. Mention CAP to your school friends and business associates and invite them to come to a meeting. If you need brochures we have them at the squadron.

PACR PATCH DESIGN CONTEST

PACR is holding a contest open to any CAP member to design a patch for Pacific Region which is comprised of six wings -- Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. It starts now. Your design is to be submitted to PACR HQ by the end of summer.
